Orang Asli Project 2016 - Day 1

Last semester break, I joined Orang Asli Project 2016 that organised by MCA and Community Service Society (CSS) . We went to Kampung Ruai which located at Raub, Pahang for 3 days 2 nights, it was an unforgettable trip for me. 

Day 1:  8th Jan 2016

On 8.30am , all of us gather and south lobby and depart to Pahang on time. When we reached there, after we sent the another group of friends to Sg. Kelang ( because we got a large numbers of volunteer so we separated to two groups to two kampung), we depart to Kampung Ruai. The bus only drop us at outside because the kampung is out of the way and the road is too narrow. We took our stuffs and baggage and walk to the kampung. The way to get into the kampung was an uphill road and it seems like an endless pathway, although we keep on complaining but there's still a lots of fun! 

After 30 mins, finally we reached!  After a meeting with their batin, we start preparing for mini sports games.

Orang Asli is really very good in playing football. No matter children or adults, ladies or men. They have very high passion on it. I can clearly feel that they love their life, although they're not highly educated, there is not network at their kampung, they rarely have any others entertainment such as shopping, watchig movie and more, but they are happy. They are easily satisfied, they are simple, they are always be themselves.  

I used to stay in the city since I was born, even my kampung also in the city. My life is much more advanced than them, as I'm watching astro by LCD Plasa TV, they're still watching local channel by using traditional "box" TV, some of them don't even have a TV.  

I'm thinking, we got much more educated than orang asli, we have a more comfortable life compared with them, but why we still don't satisfied with our current situation? Satisfied does not equal to complacency or not improving, we can't satisfied on our knowledge, but we should satisfied on what we have and appreciated for it. A lots of people does not satisfied on what they have, they get what they want by hook or by crook, or sometimes they might lose their time to stay with their family members, even lose their health.

Actually life is simple, don't complex it. Stay with the people you love, Discover new things that is happening and Spread out positive energy. We must not take anythings for granted because no ones born to treated us good, anythings that they did is their choice, Be satisfied and Appreciated anythings we have.
